Imprinting is a way to improve the stat-values of a bred creature. It involves different actions of caring during the maturation process. Only one player can imprint a newborn baby. Once the timer runs out it wants one of three types of care:. Any imprinting done is permanent and will not decay if you neglect to imprint the creature afterwards.
If the creature asks for something you don't have or don't want to feed, it is possible to cryopod it, then release it back out.
This will change what it wanted in the first place. For example: if it asks for superior kibble, crypod it, and when you release it, it might ask for something easier like a cuddle, walk or berry, but it also might ask for something harder, like extraordinary kibble.
Since it's completely random, it is possible it might ask for the same thing prior to the crypodding. Each care session will increase Imprinting affinity by a set amount, based on total maturation time.
This feature is currently exclusive for Managarmr. Added in There is a cooldown of two hours at least once its trained before a baby can be trained again. Unlike the imprint timer, the training cooldown timer will continue even if a baby is put in a cryopod.

There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creatures. Until recently, I believed the Megalodon to be the greatest of the ocean predators.
Then I discovered Mosasaurus suspirita in the deeps. Not quite as fast, but much larger and stronger, the Mosasaurus rules the darkest waters of the Island. Growing up to 50 feet long, Mosasaurus is larger than almost every other aquatic creature I've encountered thus far. Mosasaurus is a deep-sea marine lizard which spends all of its time far beneath the water's surface. It is without a doubt one of the most fearsome creatures of the Island, and can certainly be considered among the ocean's apex predators.
Mosasaur has proven to be an excellent tame for the most advanced tribes. Due to its sheer size and power, you will often find tribes with bases and defenses built upon a Mosasaur's large "platform" saddle. The Mosasaurus is found deep in the ocean and can be quite far from the shore. It often resides towards the edge of the map boundary, and can be surprisingly elusive. How to 100% Imprint a Wyvern Without Milk - ARK: Survival Evolved
It behaves similar to the Plesiosaur. Mosasaurus has a fairly average aggro radius, and will pursue the player a fair distance horizontally. However, it will not follow the player into shallow water, much like the Plesiosaur. It also is not necessarily found near cave entrances like a Plesiosaur.
An enormous marine lizard, Mosasaurus is one of the largest creatures found in the waters surrounding the island. It has four flippers to propel its massive body through the seas. A small, finned ridge runs down the length of its back before developing into a paddle-like tail. The solitary and territorial Mosasaur is fairly slow-moving, but with its size, it can cover more ground than one might expect, making them adept ambush predators that strike from below to inflict crippling wounds.
This section displays the Mosasaurus's natural colors and regions. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Mosasaurus. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Mosasaurus will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme. Hover your cursor over a color to display its name and ID. Type in values of a wild creature to see on which stats it's emphasized. Green values on a high-level creature are very good for breeding.
If you have already tamed your creature you can try to recover the breeding-stats with an external tool. The stat-calculator does not work in the mobile-view, see here for alternatives: Apps.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts.

The value for BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier is 5. In this case what will happen? We noticed no other effect. Last edited by Tom ; 13 Nov, am. Lordbufu View Profile View Posts. Storing your dino in a cryopod, is most likely the same as upload it at a obelisk, so most likely all timers get reset including the breeding timer, so if your on official settings or on official itself be mindfull of this. Yeah, but the imprint wont reset, only the timer for the next caring, right? Originally posted by Tom :.

There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creatures. Paraceratherium gigamicus is a massive, long-necked herbivore that inhabits some of the Island's grasslands. Paraceratherium is a very peaceful and friendly creature. Barring some surprises yet in store for me, I can safely say that Paraceratherium is among the largest mammals on the Island.
While its size means that Paraceratherium can provide an incredible amount of food, it also makes it dangerous when hunted. A beast of burden second to the Brontosaurus, Paraceratherium is an excellent worker, and is sufficient in size to support a "platform" saddle upon which structures can be built.
It is a naturally friendly animal, and is not afraid of humans. However, despite its normally calm demeanor, when it or its owner is provoked by aggression, the Paraceratherium can quickly become a real threat to the attacker and will use its girth to its advantage in combat.
Paraceratheriumdue to a lack of natural enemies because of its sheer size, is naturally docile. It will ignore humans and other creatures so long as not provoked. Once it is attacked, the animal quickly becomes dangerous.
Again, because of its size and immense weight, the Paracer is an extremely deadly adversary so proceed with caution. Luckily, Paracer are solitary creatures living alone or in small family groups. They will protect their fellow herd members if necessary.
Don't be fooled by its large size and seemingly docile temperament, the Paracer is an incredibly fast and strong creature when it wants to be. With high health and quick movement, this quick horse-like creature can be slow to take down, and can dish out devastating attacks to survivors and smaller Dino's. Because of their need for copious amounts of nourishment and physical size, Paracer tend to roam the edge of forests and valleys in the lower altitudes. Avoiding dense forests if possible.
Paraceratherium is a large terrestrial mammal estimated to weigh between tons 33, to 44, lbs when fully grown. Standing approximately 16 feet at the withers and 24 feet in length. Paracer's build is rather stocky with long, robust legs to support the animal's immense size.
A long thick neck, upwards of 4—5 feet long, allows the animal to easily graze high vegetation. Paracer's hide is extremely thick and hairless.
Excess skin folds onto itself similar to modern day Rhinos. Hide color ranges from brown to grey. This section displays the Paraceratherium's natural colors and regions. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Paraceratherium. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Paraceratherium will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme.

Northlander View Profile View Posts. My server settings have 5x breeding and hatching speeds. Imprinting is currently default. I was playing around with a some of the settings and haven't been able to find a happy medium.
I'd like to maintain the default balance, but have it matched with the reduced timeframe. Showing 1 - 15 of 18 comments. Nobody has any insight on using the settings? Erathanos View Profile View Posts. If you speed up the hatch time and maturity 5 x, would it not make sense to also speed up the imprinting time to match?
More often means you'll need to cuddle with them more frequently to gain Imprinting Quality. Set it to 0 to effectively disable the system. Last edited by Erathanos ; 19 Jun, pm.
If you have any more Questions reguarding this, I will watch for this to notify me. Redheart View Profile View Posts. I've got a question, I have these settings but the imrpinting percentage goes up extremely slowly. Last edited by gravityhammer81 ; 25 Jun, am. It seems to be more or less working. Gigas however, take a long time and a lot of effort to imprint. Cuddle interval is how often. Lower value means more often.
Imprinting/Comfort Food List
Cuddle grace is how long after it first wants to interact do you have to interact with it. Higher number more time I assume, but I don't know the default length.
Cuddle lose imprint is like a decay time before it starts to lose imprint should you not interact when the baby dino wants to. Higher number gives you more time. Originally posted by Northlander :.
That would kinda sorta make sense. Again, haven't thoroughly tested this, but that's my current understanding. What's wrong with the imprinting? What do you expect from me Ark? I can't stay up for 3 days straight and be there every four hours for a baby mammoth If you are on xbox, then yes it does go down. I am waiting to imprint until it catches up with pc in the fact that once an imprint session happens, then it doesn't reset.
It's locked in. Its true that it completely reset in the beginning, but since it was patched we never had an issue. Ah, I had no idea it was functioning differently for Xbox, which is where I'm playing. Will that be part of the September 1st update that that gets addressed? It's really frustrating to get punished twice and really takes the piss out playing the game. Was not aware this was a glitch thought that imprinting goes down if left uncared for would be nice if imprinting was permanent.
It's not a glitch. It's a feature that was intended to make you really take care of said dino. The devs then changed it to no decay and patched it in PC first to test it. It'll be in the center redwoods update like everyone said. General Discussion. Archived This topic is now archived and is closed to further replies. Imprinting glitch? Start new topic. It can not be done for all dinos. Or baby care kibble mod Lordbufu View Profile View Posts. As long as you make sure you go slightly above the amount of imprints you want dont tinker untill you get say 2 imprints, but tinker untill you get 2.
Open with Google sheets, navigate to the second tab, select the dino's important to you and change the breeding values up top untill you see what you want.
Just remeber rounded numbers mean a imprint will pop-up as it grows into a adult on the last second aka improssible to make that imprint. Last edited by Lordbufu ; 2 Dec, am. Altross View Profile View Posts.
